DJ console · Pioneer XDJ-AZ

RDJ

A DJ console in the shape of an R — the initial of the family it was built for — a 1.6 m letter standing on its own two legs, aluminium plates skinned in mirror stainless, the Pioneer XDJ-AZ set into the stroke; built for a private garden.

Fabrication

Laser cutting

Every panel starts flat — cut from the fabrication model’s own files in aluminum, stainless or copper.

Press-brake bending

The aluminum frame folds to shape on a press brake; every angle lives in the model.

Bolted, never glued

Every panel is serviceable and the bolts are the ornament — fitted by hole size across the piece.

LED under the skin

A 3 mm frosted acrylic layer sits beneath the cladding; the seams take the light.
